It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ryan Fanning, who died on August 17th at only 31 years old.
Ryan was born on June 1, 1994 in Newton, Massachusetts and graduated from Newton North High School where he played hockey and baseball. Ryan had the biggest heart and he had so much love to share! He was a cherished family member and friend who would light up a room!
He was a huge Boston sports fan, an impressive movie buff and he really enjoyed his workouts at the gym!
His greatest love was his rescue dog Mickey who brought him so much joy!
He will be deeply missed by his mom, Nina Fanning and her Fiancé Kevin Unger, his dad, Robert Fanning and his wife Stephanie, his brother Christian and his wife Falan and their two sons Mase and Doyln, and his grandmother Ellen Supple who meant the world to him!
He also leaves behind his Grandpa Phil Frank and his wife Patti, his Godmother Jami Florio and her husband Jeffery, his many beloved aunts and uncles - Amanda Frank, Mary Fanning and Bill Morreth, James and Amy Fanning, Ann Fanning and Frank DiPietro, Billy Fanning and Debbie Dolloff, and so many nieces, nephews, and cousins that simply adored him, especially Kelli and Jesse who were also his dearest friends!
For Ryan's funeral services, the family kindly asks for no flowers. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21 from 3 to 8pm at the Magni Funeral Home, 365 Watertown St, Newton. Graveside Service and Burial at Calvary Cemetery, Waltham, on Friday morning, Aug. 22, at 11AM. Please meet directly at the cemetery. A funeral home staff person will direct where to idle your car inside the cemetery gate in preparation for the procession to the grave.
