Mary E. Rouine Marsh, born April 24, 1947, in Lowell, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Mary was a proud graduate of Merrimack College, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in History. She devoted much of her professional life to caring for and advocating for older adults. Mary built a long and meaningful career in elder services, culminating in her role as Director of Human Resources at Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley. Through her leadership, mentorship, and commitment to creating a supportive workplace, the organization was recognized as one of the Top 10 Best Small Businesses to Work For in the Boston area, a distinction that reflected the culture she helped foster for staff and the community they served.

Outside of her professional life, Mary had a deep love of the arts. She was an avid writer who found joy in storytelling and creative expression. She was also actively involved in the local theater community, where her enthusiasm for the performing arts and her warm spirit made her a cherished presence among fellow artists and audiences alike.

Mary valued friendship deeply and was blessed with many lifelong friends whose companionship enriched her life over the years. Her kindness, humor, and thoughtful nature made her a loyal friend and trusted confidant to many.

She is survived by her loving son, Aaron Marsh; her brother, Frank Rouine; and her sister, Gail Lavoie. She will also be remembered fondly by her many dear friends, relatives, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Mary’s compassion, creativity, and dedication to helping others will leave a lasting legacy in the lives she touched.
