Marie T. DeSimone of Burlington, MA and Naples, FL passed suddenly on April 30, 2026. She was 72.

 

She leaves her husband, Anthony DeSimone Sr, two sons, Jason and Anthony DeSimone and her grandkids Julia and Anthony.

 

She was predeceased by her brother Dennis Sullivan and her parents, Augustus and Veronica Sorrentino.

 

Marie was a beloved Day Care Provider in Newton for almost 30 years. And her work with nurturing younger generations extended to teaching CCD classes for many years at St. Bernard Parish in West Newton.

Friends and family will gather to remember and honor Marie at the Magni Funeral Home, 365 Watertown St, Newton, on Thursday, May 7 from 4-8pm. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for her on Friday, May 8 at 10:30AM in Our Lady's Church, 573 Washington St, Newton. Burial is private.
