James T. Rizza, Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and partner, passed away on August 18, 2026, at the age of 90.

 

James leaves behind his loving partner, Florence Lynch; his daughter, Catherine Walsh, and her husband, Thomas Walsh; his late son James Rizza, Jr. and his wife, Karin Rizza; and his cherished grandchildren, Daniela Rizza, Juliana Rizza, Sean Walsh, and Colin Walsh. He is also survived by his sisters and brother, as well as many nieces and nephews who were fortunate to have him in their lives.

 

James was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rosemary Rizza.

 

Above all, Jim will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and those closest to him. His 90 years brought together generations of family, and his memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and his devoted partner, Florence. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Visiting hours on Thursday, August 27 from 4-7pm in the Magni Funeral Home, 365 Watertown St, Newton. Funeral Service will also be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 28 at 11am followed by his burial at Newton Cemetery.
