Eleanor D. Brady of Brighton passed away peacefully at home in Framingham on January 27, 2026, at the age of 88.
Born to the late George Brady and Sadie (Kaiser) Brady, Eleanor was raised in Brighton, where she graduated from Brighton High School and the Boston Business Academy. Throughout her working life, she was known for her strong work ethic and caring nature, holding roles in the hotel and banking industries and later serving as a home health aide before retiring from H&R Block.
Eleanor was one of four siblings and was predeceased by her brother George (Ruth) Brady and her sister Margaret (William) Shea. She is survived by her brother William (Lucille) Brady. Above all, Eleanor was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend-roles she cherished as sacred callings from God.
Her greatest legacy lives on through her children: Victoria (Thomas) Aites, Michele (Albert) Pompei, and Paul Brady, who will forever carry her love and memory in their hearts. Eleanor was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Jennifer (James) Morgan, Daniel (Karina) Pellegrini, Thomas (Michele) Aites, James (Samantha) Piccirilli, and Regina (Jarred) McGee. She was also a loving great-grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren: Isabella Thomas, Benjamin Thomas, Vincent Lambert, Logan Aites, Harrison Morgan, Lillian Piccirilli, Flynn Aites, Abigail Morgan, Hunter Piccirilli, Greyson McGee, Everleigh Piccirilli, Chloe McGee and Elowyn Piccirilli each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
A woman of deep and unwavering faith, Eleanor was an active and dedicated member of Saint Tarcisius Church, where she volunteered tirelessly. Her faith guided her life and inspired her in 2012 to make a pilgrimage to the Vatican, and in 2015, she traveled to Philadelphia to see the Pope—an experience she cherished deeply.
Eleanor will be remembered for her kindness, quiet strength, steadfast faith, and unconditional love for her family. She lived a life of devotion and service, offering herself generously to others and trusting fully in God’s promises. Though her earthly journey has ended, her faith assures us that she has been welcomed into eternal peace by the Lord she loved and served so faithfully.
“Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord.”
— Matthew 25:23
