
Donata (Donna) Tramontozzi of Watertown died peacefully at home on December 15, 2025. She was 76.
Beloved daughter of the late Fiore and Concetta (Antonellis) Tramontozzi, Donna was raised in Watertown and attended Rosary Academy before earning her Bachelor's degree from Boston University in 1971, studying English and Italian.
A lifelong learner, Donna also earned a Master of Arts in Secondary Education and Guidance Counseling from Suffolk University in 1974; a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University in 1978; and relished taking creative writing classes at Boston College in retirement.
A fiercely proud educator, Donna taught English Language Arts in Watertown Public Schools for over 20 years. At home, she took great joy in teaching reading and writing to her niece and nephew.
A devoted sister, Donna was preceded in death by her younger brothers, Andrew Tramontozzi and Louis Tramontozzi, and is survived by her sisters-in-law, Annette Tramontozzi of Watertown and Gayle Tramontozzi of Marlborough. She is also survived by her niece Laura Tramontozzi (Drazen Doutlik) and grandnephew Luka Doutlik of Reading and godson David Tramontozzi (Kathryn) of West Roxbury.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Saturday, December 27, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Magni Funeral Home, 365 Watertown St. (Rt. 16) in Newton. A Funeral Mass will then be celebrated at 12:00 noon at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St. in Newton, with light refreshments to follow. A private burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donna’s memory to the American Heart Association.
