With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Daniel Lochiatto, age 81, on September 10, 2025.
Dan treasured traveling with his wife, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He delighted in conversing with everyone from great friends to perfect strangers on a myriad of topics from his affinity for hotdogs, to questioning our current political climate with fervor. He enjoyed dancing to "Old Time Rock & Roll” and was fond of the occasional vodka and tonic with lemon, never lime.
He saw the potential in all spaces and spent his life beautifying them. His tools: a brush, wallpaper, the perfect fabric, or paint. He sold unique fixtures to light people's homes, but also lit his own with a warm laugh, vibrant discussions, and advice you'd want to listen to, or quickly learned you probably should have.
Forever helping others, Dan’s hands were made for lending. If you needed a car ride, a fence mended, a batch of meatballs, or someone to man a cotton candy machine, he was there. Losing him will be the only thing he'll never be able to help make right.
Our family and friends have suffered a tremendous loss. His memory as a husband, father, papa, uncle, brother, and dearest of friend will be forever cherished. We could not miss him more.
A Celebration of Life for Dan will be held privately at a later date.
