Biagina E. “Betty” Bullwinkle, 96, of Waltham, passed away peacefully at her home on April 15, 2024.

 

Born in Newton, May 20, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Donato and Domenica “Jennie” (Cellucci) Coletti. Betty graduated from Newton High School in 1944. For 65 years she was the beloved wife of the late Richard J. Bullwinkle, who passed away in 2018. Loving mother of Diane Bullwinkle of Waltham, Richard Bullwinkle of Waltham, Janice LaVoie and her husband John of Franklin and Brian Bullwinkle and his late wife Mary of Waltham and New Mexico. Proud Nana to Brian, Jimmy and Sarah Bullwinkle, John, Katie and Jamie LaVoie. She was predeceased by her late sisters Geraldine Sellers, Lucy Pellegrini, Nina Howe, Mary Walsh, Jo Whelan, Laura Chinigo, Josie Cardarelli and Anne Leone and her late brothers Enrico Coletti, Daniel Coletti, Ed Coletti and Anthony Coletti. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

 

Betty loved spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. She looked forward to family beach vacations in York Beach, Maine every summer.  A lifelong gardener, she enjoyed playing softball, volleyball and bowling in her younger years. She attended several Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood concerts with her children well into her eighties.  

 

At her request services will be private.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St, Danvers MA 01923.
