Barbara A. Pepe, age 88, a longtime Administrative Assistant in the Newton Public Schools, passed on May 16, 2026.

She was the daughter of the late John and Carmela (Fuscolda) Pepe and was also predeceased by her sister Marie Spiegel and her brother Gerard Pepe and her nephew John Pepe.

 

Barbara is survived by her sister-in-law Yvonne Pepe of Waltham, her nieces Joanne McLaughlin of Hudson, NH, and Sandra and Cathy Pepe, both of Boston, and her nephew, Kevin Cox of Las Vegas, NV. 

 

Her wake will be held in the back of Our Lady's Church, 573 Washington St, Newton at 9:30am on Wednesday, May 20 and will be immediately followed by a 10:30am Mass. After the church services, she will be buried next to her sister at Newton Cemetery.
