Dadmun, Austin.jpg

The world has lost a beloved son, brother and friend.   Austin Dadmun died on June 19, 2026, at the age of 32.  He leaves behind his grieving parents, Ellen O’Brien & James Dadmun, his brother Wilton Dadmun, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.

Austin grew up in Newton Massachusetts and attended Newton North High School. Even from a young age he showed an amazing aptitude for building and creating, which grew into a determination to be an engineer. After years of hard work, he made that dream a reality, graduating from the Francis College of Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

Using his extraordinary spatial perception and amazing ability to draw, he became a master of AutoCAD and Revit, skills he put to good use in service to his job at Boston Industrial Consulting. He took significant pride in his job and loved the people he worked with.

In his personal life, Austin was an amazing chef and baker.  He worked tirelessly to perfect his homemade Pumpkin Pie recipe and loved to bake with his good friend Tiffany before holidays. He prided himself in his ability to cook the perfect strip of bacon.

Austin loved animals.  During college he rescued a small orange cat that he called Katie.   Katie and Austin were inseparable until her passing.   He then became a great “big brother” to his Mom’s cats, and was especially loved by Owen, the Maine Coon cat.

Austin was especially well known for always being willing to help his friends and family. With his trusty pickup truck, he was always ready to help with a move at a moment’s notice. Proud of his engineering abilities, he was a tremendous resource for anyone who needed a handyman or a creative solution.  He was thoughtful, kind, and always there in an emergency.

One of his favorite places on earth was his family’s space on Diamond Island in Lake Winnipesaukee.  Using his boating skills and his experience with a grill, he was always excited to share that space with anyone who would visit.

Austin was brilliant, funny, tolerant, and wise beyond his years.  He was an ally to all, always stood up for what he knew was right, and was always eager to use his gifts to benefit anyone in need.  Austin will be sorely missed and will be forever in our hearts. He would be pleased to know that no AI was used in the writing of this.
