DeNUCCI, Anthony M. of Marlborough passed away Saturday, August 15, 2026, in Newton. Anthony is survived by his sister-in-law, Barbara DeNucci of Newton; his brother-in-law, Joseph Doherty of Wellesley; his nieces and nephews, Deborah Asaley, Diane Busa, Alexander DeNucci, Joseph DeNucci, and Donna Busa, all of Newton, and Katherine Eld and Joseph M. Doherty of Natick, along with their families. Anthony also leaves behind his loving and devoted companion of 15 years, Sylvia Michaud of Marlborough, as well as several cousins and dear friends.
Anthony (Tony) was the beloved son of the late Alexander and Katherine (Maiocca) DeNucci of Newton. He was predeceased by his brother, A. Joseph DeNucci of Newton, and his sister, Patricia M. Doherty of Wellesley.
Anthony grew up in the Nonantum neighborhood of Newton, Mass. He graduated from Newton High School, attended UMass Boston, and retired from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. Tony was a gifted guitar player who enjoyed writing songs and performing; he recorded an album and loved playing at local music venues. He was also an avid photographer. Although music and photography were his passions, his greatest joy was being an uncle. His love for his nieces and nephews was woven into the playful stories, songs, jokes, and games that filled their childhoods with laughter.
A Catholic graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 26th, at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
