Son of the late Ralph and Joan Caira of West Newton.

Ralph spent many years serving his community through various charitable organizations.  He was an active member for the Knights of Columbus for both the Newton and Watertown council.  For many years he helped raise money for the Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll drive - a program designed to help improve the quality of life for people with disabilities.  Ralph and his family also organized the Ralph Caira Sr. Foundation to support families of those with financially burdensome medical needs, in addition to volunteering at his community Boys and Girls Club, earning him recognition as Volunteer of the Year on more than one occasion.

Ralph loved to cook. He would often spend hours in the kitchen coming up with recipes, posting tutorials and photos of his culinary creations.  He had a love for music, especially Elvis.  Ralph was always up for an adventure whether it be taking a long drive or a plane ride.  It was always about the journey rather than the destination.  He enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage and spending time with his loved ones. Family was everything to Ralph and he will be missed dearly.
