Paul Timothy Michael Morrison of Pocasset, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024 with his family by his side.
Paul was born on January 7, 1945 in Savin Hill Dorchester, Massachusetts. He is predeceased by his parents, Michael and Virginia (Reis) Morrison, and his five siblings, Charlie, Peter, Rick, Jane, and Butch. As the baby of the large family, Paul often said he was, “spoiled by everyone.”
Paul attended South Boston High School and then earned a scholarship to the Berklee School of Music as a trumpet player. He held a variety of jobs including at The Boston Globe, before settling into an executive position at Kohler Company.
Paul married his sweetheart Donna Berkeley of Newton in 1969. They lived in Newton for 27 years where they raised their children, Patrick and Michelle. Pauls’ children were his pride and joy, and Paul has always been their biggest fan.
Early retirement brought Paul and Donna to Pocasset, MA, where they settled comfortably, enjoying Cape Cod. Paul became known as “Papa” by his family, and he always enjoyed the simple life, sitting on his porch with his dog Tim, dining at the Chart Room, and spending time with his wife. Papa’s favorite days were when the grandchildren came to visit (who sometimes spent days and days and days). Maxwell, JJ, and Mason Solomon, Mackenzie, Gavin, and Grady Morrison all got to enjoy the good life with their Papa.
Over the years Paul made many lifelong friendships from Newton and Cape Cod. He cherished his friends and considered them family.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Donna Berkeley Morrison of Pocasset; son Patrick Morrison of Falmouth; daughter Michelle Morrison Solomon and her husband Jeremy Solomon of Medfield; many loving nieces and nephews; and his beloved King Charles Cavalier Tim, of Pocasset. Paul, Dad, Papa, we love you more than tongue can tell.
