Ophelia Louise (Bissell) Molla, Devoted Wife and Mother, passed peacefully at 101 years while at her home in West Newton surrounded with family. Born in South Norwalk, Conn. On June 13, 1920.
Wife of the Late Brigadier General William W. Molla Esq. Roslindale Ma.
Daughter of Honorable Pelham St. George Bissell and Mary Valentine Yale Bissell both of Park Avenue New York, New York.
Ophelia attended the Spence School and was a graduate of the Riverdale Country School for Girls In New York.
She was a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants, twelfth generation related to Richard Warren, William White and Edward Doty who sailed on the Mayflower, she was also a descendant of
Israel Bissell, who on April 19, 1775 sounded A Call to Arms riding four days to Philadelphia alerting minutemen of the advancing British troops, and Thomas Yale, whose brother founded Yale University.
She lived her life always caring for her family and giving of herself for others.
Ophelia was the sister to her late brothers, Pelham St. George Bissell 3rd and George H. Bissell. Sisters, Helen A. Stout, Mary S. Masone, Nancy W. Lawrence, Ruth M. Gallagher and Elizabeth G. Bissell.
Devoted and Loving mother to the late Elizabeth V. Brady and her husband Robert of Tewksbury, Barbara Correia and her husband James of Burlington and Joanna M. Tramontozzi and her husband Gerald of Marlborough.
Devoted, Caring and Loving Grandmother to seven grandchildren, fourteen Great Grandchildren and four Great, Great Grandchildren.

Visitation Sunday, Dec. 5 from 2-5pm in the funeral home. Funeral Service Monday, Dec. 6 at 10AM in St. John's Episcopal Church, 297 Lowell Ave, Newton, MA 02460. Burial to follow at MA National Cemetery (Veterans) in Bourne (on Cape Cod).
