Michelina (Rossetti) Tranfaglia, passed on April 6, 2022, at her Ashland residence, age 92.


She came to America from Bonito, Avellino, Italy in 1966 with 5 children: Antonio Tranfaglia of Hookset, New Hampshire, Lina Lucchetti of Ashland, MA, Rita Sabbey of Acton, MA, Frank Tranfaglia of San Diego, CA and the late John Tranfaglia. 


She was a loving mother to all her children and grandchildren which include Dino, Marco, Isabella, John, Amelia and great-grandchildren Madeline and Logan. 


She is also survived by her brother Mario Rossetti of Venezuela and was pre-deceased by her other siblings: Pasqualina, Antonietta, Leonardo, Angelina, Guiose, Geraldo, and Emilia. 


Michelina worked very hard outside of the home to create a loving environment inside the home. She loved music and loved to dance to her father Vincenzo’s accordion as a child. She loved flowers and taught herself how to crochet. She created dozens and dozens of blankets, and hats, among other items, for her family and friends. Michelina was also an amazing cook and loved to grow fresh vegetables. 


She was surrounded by family all her life and was deeply loved by all. Michelina left a lasting impact on everyone she knew and met. She will be remembered for her devotion, kind heart, sense of humor, and sweet demeanor.

Visitation Sunday, April 10 from 2-5pm in the Magni FH, Newton. Funeral Mass Monday at 10:30AM in Our Lady's Church, 573 Washington St, Newton. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
