Lillian Alberta (Drake) Valenzano passed Nov. 3, 2023, age 97.
She was born in 1926 in Lawrenceville, IL to the late Everette and Lydia Blanche Drake. She was wife of the late Pasquale (Pee Wee) Valenzano.
After attending school in Bridgeport, IL, Lillian moved to Arkansas with her sister Helen to work. She met Pee Wee there, who was serving in the Army. They were married in Arkansas Dec. 20, 1945 and moved to Newton, MA.
Lillian's two favorite things were going out to eat and the casino, especially her mini trip to Atlantic City.
Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her siblings: Helen Callahan, John Young, Sylvia Volkman and Jacob Young Jr.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Michael Valenzano of Daly City, CA, and also leaves her children: Donna Cottens, Linda Casey and husband Edward, Stephen Valenzano and former son-in-law Richard Cottens. Her surviving grandchildren include: Stephen Cottens and his fiance Ashley Ramstrom, Kevin Cottens and wife Donna, Michelle McLean and husband Christopher, John Adams and wife Stephanie, Aprille Hubard and husband Jay, Michael Valenzano and partner Carleigh MacDonald, Chelsea Valenzano and fiance Casey Wilkerson, Cody Valenzano and fiance Jasmin Smith-Torres and Granddaughter-in-law Kim Reed.
Lillian's Great-Grandchildren are: Stephen M. Cottens and wife Riley, Raymond Arsenault and wife Lisa, Isabell Adams, Reed Cottens, Samantha Adams, Michael Valenzano Jr., Innes Hubard and Imogene Hubard.
Her Great-Great-Grandchildren include Sabrina Arsenault, Calvin Cottens, and Harper Arsenault.
She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 9:30AM to 11:30AM in the funeral home. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
