Josephine A. Carchia, a life-long resident of Newton (95 years), recently residing in Wellesley, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023.

 

Daughter of Rocco and Christina (Anzivino) Carchia. Josephine is the last of six siblings; sister to the late Al, Michael and Ralph Carchia and Marie and Rose English. She is survived by her nephews Michael Carchia, Paul, James, John and Richard English, Michael Carr and her nieces Marie DiMartino and Joann Desmarias.

 

A graduate of Newton High School, Josephine worked in the insurance industry for many years. She was associated with several social groups as well as senior services and Boston Children’s Hospital.

 

Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 24 at 11AM in the Magni FH, 365 Watertown St, NEWTON, followed by a 12 Noon Prayer Service. Burial Newton Cemetery.
