James Thomas Bradley Jr, 85, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at his home in Franklin, MA, where he had resided the past two years. He was born on April 9, 1937 in Waltham, MA, the second child of James T Bradley Sr and Mary (Garvey) Bradley.

Jim, as he was known by, grew up in Newton, attending public schools and playing local sports. After attending Newton High School, Jim enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. Jim returned to Newton and became a Newton Police Officer for many years.

Jim married Alayne LaRosee in 1968, spending 51 years together until her untimely passing in 2019.

Jim enjoyed traveling, coaching youth sports in Milford, where he resided for many years, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Jim loved to play cards with his new friends in Franklin.

Jim is survived by his sons William Bradley, his wife Susan of Douglas, MA, and James Bradley, his wife Kelly of Weston, FL. He leaves behind three grandchildren, Maegan and Molly Bradley of Douglas, MA and Tiernan Bradley of Weston, FL. He is also survived by his sister Doris Higbee of Milford, along with many nephews and nieces.

Family and friends will gather in the funeral home on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11AM, with a Prayer Service at 12 Noon. Burial with Military Honors to follow at Newton Cemetery.
