Immacolata Venditti of Newton, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 26, 2023. She was 95.

Born on November 20, 1927, in Fontana Liri, Italy, Immacolata was the daughter of the late Alberto Capuano and Luisa (Sera) Capuano.

She was the eldest and last surviving of three sisters, the late Giovanna Capuano and the late Assunta Capuano.

Immacolata was married to the love of her life, Cleto Venditti for 73 years. In 1956, Cleto arranged to bring Immacolata to Canada to meet him. In October of 1959, they came together to the United States and settled in Newton, Massachusetts where they raised their family. She was a devoted wife and mother to Salvatore Venditti of Newton, Maria Venditti Davis and her husband John of Waltham, and the late John Venditti.

She also leaves her sister and brother in law Antoinetta and Adriano Torti of Canada, as well as her brother-in-laws, Bruno Capuano and the late Guido Capuano of New York, along with the late Carolina (Venditti) Casinelli and Francesco Casinelli. Immacolata is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Immacolata worked at TRW, Inc. making machine parts until her retirement in 1988. Immacolata enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, and sewing. Her fondest memories were hosting family for Holiday meals. She had immense joy watching her grandchildren, Sara Davis Helm and Joanna Davis. She was the loving great-grandmother to Alexander and Sara Davis Helm’s three children: William, Elizabeth, and James.

Visiting hours in the funeral home on Thursday, March 2 from 3-7pm and again Friday morning at 9:15am before proceeding to Our Lady's Church, 573 Washington St, Newton for a 10:30am Funeral Mass. Burial to follow at Newton Cemetery.
