Giovanni (John) Concetti
September 27, 2024 – Age 65
Giovanni (John) Concetti, affectionately known as "Spanky" by his friends, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He courageously battled lymphoma and triumphed a year and a half ago, but unfortunately, the aggressive cancer returned recently.
Born in Boston, John grew up in Newton and later settled in Milford. He graduated from Newton North High School in 1978. John dedicated over 20 years of his career to Clay Chevrolet in Newton and also worked at Muzi Ford in Needham and Herb Connolly Chevrolet in Framingham as a Master Mechanic and Service Advisor.
A passionate boater and avid collector of vintage items, John had a particular love for antique cars. He was often described as a 12-year-old in an adult body, bringing joy and laughter to everyone around him.
He was the son of the late Severino and Maira (Iacopucci) Concetti of Newton. John is survived by his beloved wife, Ana Maria Araujo Concetti; his daughters Stephanie Ingenito and her husband Michael, along with their son Mason; Jennifer Concetti; and Allyson Concetti. He is also survived by his sister Lidia Nicolazzo and her husband Nick of Newton, his sister Rita Rossi and her husband Daniel of Norfolk, and his loving stepchildren and step-grandchildren.
John is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
