Frank W. Munro, age 65 of Wrentham, died suddenly at home on April 27, 2022.
Beloved husband for 35 years to Karen (Forte) Munro and their two dogs, LuluBelle and DaisyMae. Also survived by his Brother Tom Munro and wife Linda, Sister Laurie Janoian and husband Jim, Sister-in-law Brenda Boudreau and husband Freddie, Brothers-in-law John Forte and Steven Forte and wife Cheryl. Frank is also survived by many nieces, nephews , great nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and Thomas Munro and In-laws, Patricia and John Forte.
Born in Detroit, MI and settling in Wrentham MA, Frank earned degrees at Northeastern University and Lesley College. He was employed for many years at Hughes Aircraft Santa Barbra Research Center and General Dynamics.
Frank was a lover of nature, music and animals. He was an expert repair man and could fix anything quickly in a time of need. He had an extraordinary memory and could recall anything he had seen or heard just once.
Over the years, Frank enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, music, theatre and traveling. He loved to play the guitar and would spend endless hours strumming away. He enjoyed tinkering, repairing and building things including many car engines. He collected bird houses and loved searching for unique gas lanterns and wall-mounted bottle openers. He was active over the years in helping with his wife’s pet care business and spent hours providing comfort to aging and sick dogs in their home.
Frank truly enjoyed spending time with family, friends and his pups. Although not Italian himself, he was often referred to as “Guido” by his wIfe. Frank, aka “Guido” never turned down an offer to party or have a cold Be Hoppy beer! He will be missed by many and remain forever in our hearts!
Visiting hours and Prayer Service in the funeral home Wednesday, May 4 from 4-6:30PM with prayers at 6:30PM. Private cremation following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice.
