Caroline Parise Elias, 103, died peacefully September, 19, 2024.  Born April 4, 1921, she was the daughter of Italian immigrants Carmella Spadaro Panaro and Anthony Spadaro (and Cosmo Panaro upon Anthony’s passing).

She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 year, Vincent James Parise,  Edward Elias and 2 siblings Charles Spadaro and Nanette Panaro.

​

She is survived by her 7 children.  Sandra Bissell (Joseph who passed May 2024), James Parise (Linda), David Parise (Andrea, Bonnie), Regina Lewis (Jerome), Paul Parise (Carol B.), Gerald Parise (Kimberly), and M. Carol DeWitt (Bruce).

​

She is also survived by her 2 beloved sisters, Joan Yacono and Cecilia Zieno as well as 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren plus many nieces and nephews.

​

A wake will be held October 1 from 3 - 6 pm at Andrew J. Magni & Son Funeral Home, 365 Watertown St. Newton, MA, 02458.  The funeral will be held on October 2 at 10 am at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, 28 Commonwealth Avenue, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467. Family and friends should meet directly at the church. There will be no procession from the funeral home.

Interment will take place at a later date in a family plot in Norwich, New York where she was born.
