Carol (Mingace) Basile of Lexington, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on April 24, 2025.

 

Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on October 9, 1946, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. Daughter of the late Louis and Evelyn Mingace and widow of Joseph D Basile, Carol worked for the Cambridge School Department for over 40 years, mostly as a kindergarten teacher at the Dr. Martin Luther King Junior School.

 

Carol loved to read, go to the beach, and spend time with her grandchildren. Carol is survived by her daughter, Cassondra, her two grandchildren, Joseph and Amália, her sister Patricia A Knox, and many nieces and nephews.

 

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 30, at 10:30am at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St in Newton, Massachusetts, followed by burial at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge.
