Bonnie R. (Hamilton) Glidden, age 79, of Newton, MA died suddenly at home on May 5, 2025. 

 

Born on August 30, 1945 to the late Russell and Gertrude (Drennan) Hamilton, Bonnie was the youngest of 5 sisters. She was preceded in death by her sisters Patricia A. Cwirka, Nancy L. Tempesta, and Sandra G. Vermouth.

 

She is survived by her sister, Carol Campbell; her daughters Sandra Glidden and Sharon McCrea; her granddaughter Michaela McCrea; and her long-time companion Thomas Morrissey.

 

For many years, Bonnie was an executive secretary for Bay Bank. She then discovered her love of caring for others and became a home health aid for the rest of her working life. 

 

In her younger years, Bonnie enjoyed bowling with her bowling league, crocheting, cooking, but most of all traveling. Some of her favorite places to travel were Acapulco, The Dominican Republic, Florida, and Las Vegas. 

 

Bonnie was the happiest when surrounded by her family and her beloved cats. She will be deeply missed.
