Zeppa, Ada Angelina (Moscone) age 90 of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 31st, 2024 in her home surrounded by family.

 

Beloved wife of the late Domenico Zeppa for over fifty years, she leaves behind her son Franco and partner Betty, her son Bruno and partner Marianne, her daughter Maria Rahall, her daughter Beatrice and husband Lawrence Ford, and her brother Victor and wife Maria. Beloved grandmother (known as “Nonna” or “Nonie”) to Massimo, Michelle, Franca, Nelson, Anthony (deceased), Michael, Stephen, Jennifer, Mark Jr., Harrison, and Samuel. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren.

 

Ada was a native of Casalvieri in the province of Frosinone, Italy. She lived there during World War II and survived the bombings throughout her province.  At the age of 17 Ada migrated to France with her husband Domenico.  It was there that she had and raised her four children. In 1974, Ada and her husband migrated once more, this time to the United States to provide their children the chance for a better life and economic opportunity.

 

Ada was a doting Nonna to her grandchildren and her house became a second home for many of them. Her passions were family, cooking and tending to her flowers and garden.

 

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours at Andrew J. Magni & Son Funeral Home at 365 Watertown Street in Newton on Tuesday August 6th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Ada’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Luke’s Parish, 132 Lexington Street in Belmont at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Newton Cemetery.
